Click January 2010 News for Midge Falconer's summary of DMF happenings so far in this 2009 - 2010 year.
The mission of Discovering Many Faiths (DMF), which initially ran from January 2008 through May, 2008, and repeated during ICGR's 2008 - 2009 program year, is to enable participants to gain insights and appreciation for diverse faiths. This is accomplished through panel discussions among diverse faith practitioners, personal interactions, and opportunities to visit worship services of each featured faith.
During the first half of 2008 we explored the following faiths: Sikh, Jewish, Bahá’í, Episcopal and Eckankar. The second year of this program, 2008-2009, we explored the following faiths: Baptist, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Islam, Jain and Catholic.
The University of Richmond's Office of the Chaplaincy is now co-sponsoring DMF with ICGR and this will greatly enhance this new ICGR program. During 2009-2010, as a result this co-sponsorship, each Discovering Many Faiths(DMF) program will take place at the University of Richmond in the Keller Hall Reception Room. This is a much more accessible location than in the past.
DIRECTIONS: Enter the campus from River Road (onto UR Drive) or College Road (onto Westhampton Way) - the way to the DMF location will be easy and well marked. In driving to Keller Hall just follow the bold white signs with red colored DMF letters and directional arrows. They will easliy lead to the parking lot at the Modlin Center for the Arts. Walk straight through the Modlin Center arriving at Keller Road, then turn left, walk a few feet and enter the Keller Hall building on the left. You may also use the maps below.
